First, watch this! It’s my new favorite movie. I have my computer back. Want to see why I couldn’t handle being without it?

I finished Flenten last week, I took cell pics.

Notice the tiny bit my computer wallpaper! (I made it last year) I backed up all my files long before the computer died because I knew it was going to happen sometime. Even though I’m making ipod covers, I’m very unhappy with my ipod. I was trying unsuccessfully to add songs to it and all of a sudden they all disappeared. If I wasn’t so lazy, I’d find out where my mp3 cds are and replace them all. Tomorrow is my last final. Wait till you see the things I get for Christmas!! Tony Bennett: An American Classic movie

Finished.

I couldn’t get a decent picture so it’s a toothpaste splattered bathroom mirror shot. It’s a little baggy. It’s not as itchy as I thought, it’s pretty warm though. I need to steam iron it. My little vaio broke. I miss it so much, it’s off getting fixed. I bought a huge replacement for it (soon to be brother’s xmas gift). Anyway, it lacks a “Magic Gate” therefore the Magic Stick from the digital camera cannot be used to transfer pictures. (I got the magic stickkk…) So till I get my baby back it’s camera phone pictures. And do I not have the coolest phone ever?? Trailerhomey n I match. Did you ever see the cute little knit scarf on a bottle of Stoli? Cute! Trailerhomey and I recommend mixing it with cranberry juice. And like our matching phones, that’s her matching vaio in the back, not mine. Details and etc. on the Klaralund soon.

I want a perfectly striped Klaralund. I’m going to have a perfectly striped Klaralund. I am so close to finishing.

click for larger image
I have managed to duplicate my original irregularly striped sleeve. Now the only issue is that red at the top. I’ve run out of the red-to-pink part of the yarn that tops the first completed sleeve. Soo, realizing I have tons of purple parts of the yarn, I’m going to finish sleeve 2 with purple and then rip back sleeve 1 and complete the match. I met Annie Modesitt! She is so funny! And oh my god she is the fastest knitter ever! I wish I bought her book when I saw her, but I was not paying in quarters. I’ll paypal buy one later on. I don’t think I was part of the class, I just followed along, it was fun! Ina is super nice (and had perfect tensioned knitting unlike me), and posted about it and a picture

The Magdalene Sisters . (I am totally unphotogenic in pictures not taken by me. So to make up for that picture, here are a whole ton of mee pictures

Angels Over Broadway full movie

No Smoking full movie .) Also notice the Kureyon scarf, specifically, Forsa from the book Klaralund is in. I love it. It does not match my outfit, I wove in ends and put it on. Proper picture and matching clothing later on. Trailer homey and I have the hottest phones ever.

just random.

I bought the stuff to make Klaralund out of Kureyon color 170. The color is such a let down. I don’t like rainbows. (Though it’s not a true rainbow, it exudes ugly rainbowness.) I’m on the sleeve. It may be ugly colored, but the least I could do is make all my stripes match. It took many, many joins of yarn, but I think it worked well. Let’s hope I can get sleeve #2 will match the first.

This is attempt number 5 at posting. I finished the top-down raglan from HPY’s Novelty Boutone yarn in Cielo Andino. I love it. It fits a lot better than the picture shows, the bottom doesn’t curl and the shoulders go on my shoulders. I really wanted to wear this, so I brought it with me to school to finish the last half of the second sleeve. I frantically knit during my free time and the two hours I have between class. I finished the sleeve and wove in ends seconds before my class started. So I got to wear it.

Holy shit, I just made the longest post I’ve ever written on here, and it just disappeared. I’ll try it again. I finished the India Socks. The stripes match, just oppositely.

I bound off kinda tight on the second one, I should go back and redo it sometime. Then I started the Cherry Tree Hill sock, from here on refered to as the Chill sock.
click for larger image
The woman at the yarn store suggested a butterfly lace pattern for the leg of the sock. I tried it and it looked too busy with the yarn color. (And I was knitting it in the dark during art hist.) Oh and that pink line, above it…those stitches look twisty, I hate when that happens with yarn spun like that. Too much twist in the yarn, I guess it’s from how I knit. Remember how much I hated the store, The Knitting Basket Clifford’s Really Big Movie movie download ? And how glad I was those assholes went out of business? Now they’re back, moved one store front over. I saw that old hag (trailer homey!!! Isn’t that the best word to describe that nasty old woman!!) How could I ever shop there, in that tiny cramped store with ugly yarn and that owner!? Especially with that much nicer Nonna’s Yarn Cafe literally around the corner. That’s good for a quick yarn fix, but this Tuesday I found my favorite yarn store yet, Modern Yarn in Montclair. They had lots of awesome yarns. I got two balls of Diakeito’s Diamusee Fine. I’ll use them for socks or gloves, I don’t know which yet.

I don’t know how it got there, but it was a nice surprise! THANK YOU!!! Today was so shitty too, I have an ear infection, my voice is going, and I haven’t had a full night’s sleep in a very long time. Soo it was so nice to get a present! I love the shimmery yarn! I need to find something to do with it! I’m thinking of knitting another bear from The Knitted Teddy Bear and making it a sweater. And the needle roll does match my blog! Know why I didn’t use the other rolls I had? Because my old secret pal sent me like 3 different ones…and no way I can keep track of my needles in them. If I can get around to organizing my room I’ll find my missing needles and put them in there. And it’s funny, cause everyone always gives me cat cards for my bday!! Yet no one gives me a kitten. But that’s okay, cause I have Murphy and he’ll always be my mushy kitten. See him checking out the yarn! Before that he was watching tv.

I LOVE THIS! Last weekend I went to the Yarn Loft and we got to see the brand new Noro yarns! I got the pretty Silver Thaw in Color #2… Green, Grey, Pink, Purple and Yellow. I got two more today after deciding I wanted a Clapotis with it. It’s 50% wool and 25/25 Angora and Nylon. For the angora content…it’s surprisingly not fuzzy, halo-y, or sheddy.

Yarn purchases. I bought some pink alpaca blend yarn a few weeks ago and never mentioned it. Some minty Brown Sheep Superwash. Three balls of a gradiated yarn by Di.Ve in peachy pinks and purples. Cascade 220 in a persimmony orangey red I’ve loved for a really long time. Cascade Fixation in a minty aqua for the Petit Chou set, I’ve already finished the bottoms. Noro’s new Silver Thaw and I’ll be buying two more hanks this weekend for a really amazing Clapotis. I also knit a baby set of socks and a hat for my new cousin. I also did an orange hat for my brother from LP Bulky that he guilted me into making. I asked what he’d want me to knit him for Christmas and he said he wanted an orange hat but that I never finish anything for him so he wouldn’t expect it. But I finished it! Today I ordered some of Palette, the new KnitPicks yarn, in Peach. I’m going to make the Lucky Clover wrap thingy from Stitch N Bitch Nation. I also bought Rebecca 27 on eBay today…I want to make that ‘Apricot Jacket’ with the yellow Cotton Ease I have. Then I got my KnitPicks yarn. Palette in Peach. I’m making the Lucky wrap from Stitch n Bitch Nation. I can definitely see me getting tons of this done at school. I’m using Addis in a size that seems to be inbetween a 2 and a 3. I don’t DO gauge. (maybe that’s why most of things I knit don’t fit..) But I held up what I knit so far ( just finished the decreasing and I’m knitting straight for an inch before increasing) and it looks like it will fit PERFECTLY. I hope.

Then there’s the Silver Thaw Clapotis. I kind of wish kept it solid and didn’t do the drops. But whatever. I just started the second ball. It’s pretty long as it is, I don’t know if I’ll hit the third hank or not. (They’re the 100g ones not the 50g balls). I can totally see myself wearing this in the fall and winter around campus.

This is an easy 1×1 ribbed scarf I’m making using Di.Ve’s Teseo. (I keep thinking Tessio from The Godfather!) Super-soft and loosely spun. I’m using coordinating peachy pink needles. I’ve got two balls of this stuff and think it’ll be substantially long enough.
