Holy shit, I just made the longest post I’ve ever written on here, and it just disappeared. I’ll try it again. I finished the India Socks. The stripes match, just oppositely.

I bound off kinda tight on the second one, I should go back and redo it sometime. Then I started the Cherry Tree Hill sock, from here on refered to as the Chill sock.
The woman at the yarn store suggested a butterfly lace pattern for the leg of the sock. I tried it and it looked too busy with the yarn color. (And I was knitting it in the dark during art hist.) Oh and that pink line, above it…those stitches look twisty, I hate when that happens with yarn spun like that. Too much twist in the yarn, I guess it’s from how I knit. Remember
how much I hated the store, The Knitting Basket ? And how glad I was those assholes went out of business? Now they’re back, moved one store front over. I saw that old hag (trailer homey!!! Isn’t that the best word to describe that nasty old woman!!) How could I ever shop there, in that tiny cramped store with ugly yarn and that owner!? Especially with that much nicer Nonna’s Yarn Cafe literally around the corner. That’s good for a quick yarn fix, but this Tuesday I found my favorite yarn store yet,
Modern Yarn in Montclair. They had lots of awesome yarns. I got two balls of Diakeito’s Diamusee Fine. I’ll use them for socks or gloves, I don’t know which yet.
Now, Secret Pal reveal! My secret pal was
Angela ! Thank you for being my secret pal!!!

I’ve always wanted the sheep tape measure!!! Same with the flower cloth! I saved the pattern when they had it in IK, but I never even saw the cotton chenille in a store. Thank you! And THANK YOU
LEAH!! I got the mail today and all I got was the free ball of gross, sparkly fun fur. Then when I came home from work there was the bday package on the porch! I don’t know how it got there, but it was a nice surprise! THANK YOU!!! Today was so shitty too, I have an ear infection, my voice is going, and I haven’t had a full night’s sleep in a very long time. Soo it was so nice to get a present! I wish I were on top of things enough to send things to people.
I love the shimmery yarn! I need to find something to do with it! I’m thinking of knitting another bear from The Knitted Teddy Bear and making it a sweater. And the needle roll does match my blog! Know why I didn’t use the other rolls I had? Because my old secret pal sent me like 3 different ones…and no way I can keep track of my needles in them. If I can get around to organizing my room I’ll find my missing needles and put them in there. And it’s funny, cause everyone always gives me cat cards for my bday!! Yet no one gives me a kitten. But that’s okay, cause I have Murphy and he’ll always be my mushy kitten. See him checking out the yarn! Before that he was watching tv.
Awhile ago I knit a little case for my cell with two colors of koigu, now it’s an ipod case. I did a tubular cast on for the top, I really like it.
