I love starbucks. I get a vanilla soy latte almost everyday, but lately starbucks is getting so disappointing. I found a shell of a bug in my iced latte last week, so I don’t go to that starbucks anymore. At the other one , I had a barely lukewarm “hot” latte. Then there was a gross man with a sore on his face that he kept rubbing, who handled my cup, and then the guy that made it soaked the entire cup with coffee and it was soggy. Then this morning my latte wasn’t a latte it was a chai, ew. Even though it has a big L on the side. All I want is a hot, bugfree, nonsticky, vanilla soy latte.

Rhinebeck was SO disappointing. Maryland was like a million times better.
The gps nav thing is awesome, best purchase ever.
We found a 20 on the ground right before we entered, so we paid the entrance fee with that. That was the highlight of the trip. There was a booth with deep fried artichokes. So amazing but way too expensive for what it was. The line at the fold was incredibly stupid. I think that socks that rock yarn is ugly (I do have some, so it’s not an unfounded opinion) It was kind of annoying since I wanted some of the awesome roving like I got at maryland. I wouldn’t wait in that line even if they were giving out free yarn. I think that there were a lot of vendors with much more attractive sock yarns and handpainted yarns. But what is it with those gross colorways- those earthy tones with dark fall colors. EVERYONE had those and it all looked the same.
Left around 1:30 Got back at 3ish, went to a yarn store but didn’t get anything, got starbucks, went to garden state plaza to spend what was left over from rhinebeck, then got sushi. and got back home before 8pm. i’ve never done so much in one day. my car isn’t loving me.

Now the stuff i got.
I managed to find a couple things that I wanted. I couldn’t bring myself to leave with nothing, I was close though.

Annie Get Your Gun hd

So far I’ve finished a Hot Lava cardi for myself then I made another as a gift for someone in a pretty ugly shade of bright pink Manos I put in some short rows to cut out an inch or so of fabric from the bunching around the collar. My gauge on #2 was so off, instead of doing the recommeded 19 rows before working across the back, I did 53 rows. It fit me very well, but the color is unwearable on me. I’m happy with my pale purple Parma one.
I also knit Picovoli from Magknits in a coral-orange Butterfly Cotton (color “deep shrimp) It doesn’t fit well, too tight and too short. I did take pictures of it that are on my phone that makes it look like it fits nicely, but my computer is weird about me transferring pictures from my cell.
I use Motorola Phone Tools that came with my razr (rip) and it lets me transfer things from my slvr without having to install that phone as a new one. But when I had to reinstall phone tools it doesn’t let me install my slvr, I have to install my old razr then disconnect and plug in my new one. Makes no sense to me. Stupid program doesn’t even let me upgrade.

I’m knitting, and SO close to finishing the cropped cardigan from Blue Sky Alpacas. The trunk show is at Modern Yarn and the cardi looked really cute. I couldn’t find the right color in the blue sky alpaca, so I’m using Frog Tree’s sportweight alpaca in a dusty, sorta cornflower blue. I’m almost done with the first sleeve. It’s so soft!! The pattern has a really attractive looking bind off edge, it has you work two rows in a smaller needle then a bind off in the larger needle in pattern. I dunno why it looks so nice on this, but it does.
