I’ve been trying to pick two colors to make the chevron scarf from Last Minute Knitted Gifts. I’ve been a member of the flickr group

for a while but can’t decide what colors to make mine with. I think it’s hard to choose between colors I know I’d want to wear versus things that look pretty. I think I’ve found a color combo with some koigu that I hope will work. It’s really interesting that two very different colors of Koigu work so well together. One is a darkish multi, predominately black and bright tealy blue with a bit of pink and gold. The other is a dingy yellow speckle. The scarf though is coming out pastel! I finished the back of the BSA Cotton cardi.
It really bothers me that the designer couldn’t have aligned the lace ribs to the bottom ribbing. The first and last lace rib part lines up, but the middle doesn’t. Whatever, I followed the pattern and I’m not wasting time making changes.

The striped calmer hat from that other post is finished, and I’ve begun another hat in two shades of Malabrigo, Peach Tree and Vetiver. A very interesting color combo.

I think I’m back into knitting socks. I started Pomatomus from Knitty, in some Koigu I’ve had for ever.
I like the pattern I guess, but I don’t like the look of that many twisted stitches.

Right now I just cast on for a sock in All Things Heather, Strawberry Fields. It was once going to be gloves, but since then I’ve realized it’s my absolute favorite color of sock yarn I have and it needs to become a pair of socks. I accidentally threw out my hot pink koigu socks a long time ago, and I’ve yet to make a replacement pair. I think these might be it. The ATH yarn is like a baby Koigu, same sort of twist and feel, but much thinner.
Happy Easter!!!
